Dr. Caius Coretchi was born and raised in Ploiești, Romania, and moved to the United States at the age of 20. He is excited to join Michigan Center for Oral Surgery as part of the team, bringing his surgical training and multidisciplinary perspective to patient care in the community.

Dr. Coretchi earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Roosevelt University before attending dental school at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his Oral Surgery Internship at John Peter Smith Hospital, followed by medical school at Wayne State School of Medicine and his Oral Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Warren Hospital.

Dr. Coretchi was drawn to oral and maxillofacial surgery for its unique ability to restore form and function through minimally visible incisions, and for its position as the only specialty that intertwines dentistry, medicine, and surgery. He values the multidisciplinary collaboration the field offers and maintains an active interest in head and neck cancer treatment, regularly attending conferences and meetings on the topic.

Outside the practice, Dr. Coretchi enjoys spending time with his daughter, Bella, watching soccer, biking, and getting outdoors. He also has a hands-on side, taking on plumbing projects in his free time.
